  2. This is a really great action, but how does it differ from the “set file type of” in applescript?

I have a situation where I have files on an os x server that come from a PC, so they have no resource information in them. When I set the type and creator with the actionscript it only works for OSX computers that see the files. When I use this automator action it works for both OSX and OS9 computers seeing the files.

    any idea?
