Considering Aperture

A few weeks ago, Apple announced the forthcoming release of Aperture, their new higher end photo manager/editor. Though careful to claim that Aperture is not a direct competitor to Adobe Photoshop, Apple has nevertheless made claims that the program will do 90% of a digital photographer’s post-production tasks. Aperture is particularly appealing for raw photographers thanks to its seemingly robust raw support.
